  I also saw, and have a complaint with, Dr. Neilan as do many others. I came in post-surgery because my breathing was still not right and I was congested. When they "scope" your nose, generally they spray you with a decongestant and something else so the doctor could see clearly. I asked them not to use this because I wanted him to see my congestion and maybe having it there would make finding the cause easier. He used his scope for a couple seconds, said "you have a sinus infection, but your septum looks good" and told me I needed an X-ray to make sure but it should be covered by my insurance. Then he left, and the tech brought me in to get my Xray. With the results, it was restated "yes, you have a sinus infection. We will get you a scrip". That's it. So, the Xray was just used to determine AGAIN that I have a sinus infection and that my septum was straight? Because on my initial visit, before my surgery, he told me my septum was in fact not straight without the use of an xray. This visit, he told me it WAS straight without the use of an Xray... but this time I needed the xray anyways? Well barely a surprise - it is not covered by my insurance for that, and for 5 minutes of this almighty doctor's time, I owe them over $400 after insurance. They're sleazy salesmen that wear doctors uniforms selling you a product that you can't return. Avoid.
